1960 Topps # 316 Willie McCovey
PSA 8 NM-MT
Willie McCovey was elected into the Hall in 1986 by the BaseBall Writer's Assoc. of America (81.4%) as a San Francisco Giant. "Stretch's" playing career was from 1959 to 1980. He was a 6 time All Star, 1959 ROY, 1969 NL MVP and had 521 career Homeruns. Willie was a true power hitter as he smashed many a tape measure shots. Teamed along with Willie Mays and Orlando Cepeda, the Giants of the 60's didn't lack power. It was always interesting watching the Dodger pitching vs. the Giant hitting. Above is his 1960 Topps rookie card, PSA graded 8 NM-MT with nice coloring, sharp corners and decent centering. Becoming harder to find in high grade 8, the population is 214 with only 29 better.
