Rod Carew was elected into the Hall in 1991 by the Baseball Writer's Assoc. of America, 1st ballot, (90.5%) as a Minnesota Twin. Rod's playing career was from 1967 to 1985. Rod was one of the greatest contact hitters of all time, finishing his career with 3,053 hits & a lifetime batting average of .328. He was a 18 time All Star, AL ROY, 1977 AL MVP & a 7 time AL batting champion. Back than we use to watch the box scores alot & it seemed like Carew always had multiple hits every game. The rookie card above is his 1967 Topps, very well centered for this issue, in PSA 7 NM condition. Population of 573 with only 461 higher. MM-1/28/2017
