1962 Topps # 387 Lou Brock
PSA 7 NM
Lou Brock was elected into the Hall in 1985 by the Baseball Writer's Assoc. of America, 1st ballot, (79.75%) as a St. Louis Cardinal. Lou's playing career was from 1961 to 1969. He was a 6 time Allstar, 2 time WS Champion, 8 time NL stolen base leader, was a member of the 3,000 hit club (3,023) & had a lifetime batting average of .293. Lou was not only the premier base stealer, but was a very rounded player hitting for average & could knock you a homer when needed. Lou held most stolen base records, surpassing Ty Cobb & Maury Wills, until Ricky Henderson came along in the 1980's. Above is his 1962 Topps rookie card, rare in high grade because of the wood boarders, graded PSA 7 NM. Currently, there are only 569 NM copies with only 306 better.
