1988 Fleer Update # 74 John Smoltz
PSA 10 GEM MT
9John Smoltz was elected into the Hall in 2015 by the BaseBall Writer's Assoc. of America, 1st ballot, (82.9%) as an Atlanta Brave. John's playing career was from 1988 to 2009. He was an 8 time All Star, 1996 Cy Young winner, 1995 World Series Champion and is a member of the 3000 K club. John became a reliever in 2001 and is only the 2nd player in history to record both 20 wins in a season & 50 saves in a season during his career, the other being Dennis Eckersley. Teamed with Greg Maddux & Tom Glavine thru out the 1990's, many say that was the best pitching trio in baseball history, hard to argue. Shown above is John's 1988 Fleer Update rookie card, a perfect PSA 10 GEM MT. MM-09/08/2012
