1954 Topps # 94 Ernie Banks
PSA 6 EX-MT
Ernie Banks was elected into the Hall in 1977 by the Baseball Writer's Assoc. of America, 1st ballot, (83.8%) as a Chicago Cub. Ernie's playing career was from 1953 to 1971, all with the Cubs." Mr. Cub" was a 14 time All Star, 2 time NL MVP, a Gold Glover and finished his career with 512 HR's. Ernie was one of the most popular players in the league, even outside of Chicago. On a more personal note, the first game I ever attended was in 1959 at the L.A. Coliseum. The Dodgers were playing the Cubs and to this day, my most vivid memories of that game was watching Ernie Banks, just the way he handled himself. Above is a 1954 Topps rookie card of Banks, PSA graded 6 EX-MT, with very nice centering. Population is 460 with 425 higher. MM-04/20/2016
