1976 Topps # 98 Dennis Eckersley
PSA 8.5 NM-MT+
Dennis Eckersley was elected into the Hall in 2004 by the Baseball Writer's Assoc. of America, 1st ballot, (83.2%) as an Oakland Athletic. "Eck's" playing career was from 1975 to 1988. He was a 6 time All Star, 1992 AL MVP & Cy Young winner, 1989 World Champion & recorded 1 no-hitter. He and John Smoltz are the only 2 players to ever have a 20 win season & a 50 save season during a career. Dennis was a great closer during the 1990's, but how can we ever forget who gave up the walk-off homer to Kirk Gibson in the 1988 World Series! Above is his 1976 Topps rookie card in PSA 8.5 NM-MT+ condition with very nice centering. MM-10/12/2012
