Carl Yastrzemski was elected into the Hall in 1989 by the Baseball Writer's Assoc. of America, 1st ballot, (94.63%) as a Boston RedSox. "Yaz's" playing career was from 1961 to 1983, all with the RedSox. He was an 18 time All Star, 7 time Gold Glover, 3 time AL batting champ & finished his career with 3,419 hits, 452 HR's & lifetime batting average of .285. Lots of great numbers but nothing compared to his 1967 season, as he won the AL batting title, HR title & RBI title for a triple crown.
